A long day travelling has been made more bearable by a traditional Italian 3 course meal and walk around the Duomo. The flight and transfer passed quickly and without a hitch and we settled into our rooms before heading out to walk the streets. We did have some light showers but equipped with umbrellas and smiles we still managed to get a first feel of Florence. We passed through the San Lorenzo market, eyeing up the leather goods and still managed to learn about Brunelleschi's famous feat of engineering, despite the inside being shut for evening prayers. After a short walk back to the Hotel Victoria we are now able to get some sketchbook work in before an early night ready for tomorrow.
