SHS Art Study Tour to Florence: Last day.

Our Itinerary

0430 Meet at Botanical Gardens to load luggage ready for departure. Bring own provisions from home for the journey and suitable stops will be made on route as necessary

0500 Depart from school

0905 Check in at Heathrow International Airport, Terminal 5 (with assistance from an airport representative) for British Airways Flight Number BA604

1105 Flight departs

1420 Arrive at Galileo Galilei International Airport (local time).

1630 You will be met by your coach for transfer to the hotel.

1800 Anticipated arrival at Hotel Victoria where the group will spend the next four nights with Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Check in and unpack.

Meet in hotel lobby – leisurely walk to restaurant via ‘the Duomo’.

1900 Three- course evening meal at La Repubblica Restaurant (drinks not included).

2030 Sightseeing (walking) – Piazza Signoria (‘David’ statue)

2200 Return to hotel

Monday 21 March

Continental breakfast will be served at the hotel

1000 Arrive at Brancacci Chapel (booking - 10.15am).

1300 Group to make own lunch arrangements

1500 Arrive at Palazzo Medici Riccardi

1900 Three-course evening meal at Tirabaralla Restaurant (drinks not included).

Tuesday 22 March

Continental breakfast will be served at the hotel.

0900 Arrive for a self-guided visit at San Marco Museum

The group will then make their way to visit the San Marco Market as organised by the group leader

Group to make own lunch arrangements

1300 Continue to visit the Uffizi Gallery (queue on arrival)

Time tbc Arrive at Hard Rock Café.

Menu: Vinyl Menu. Main: Hard Rock or Cheeseburger served with French Fries, Veggie Burger served with salad, Caesar Salad. Dessert: Hard Rock ice cream. Beverages: 1 soft drink

Evening as organised by the group leader

2200 Return to hotel

Wednesday 23 March

0800 Continental breakfast will be served at the hotel.

0900 Coach to collect the group at the hotel and depart to Siena. Transfer time is approx. 1hr 20mins.

Sketching and sightseeing. Piazza del Campo. Siena Duomo

1300 Group to make own lunch arrangements

1400 Coach to transfer the group to San Gimignano. Transfer time approx. 50mins.

The group will have further time sketching and sightseeing.

1745 Depart San Gimignano

1900 Expected arrival at hotel.

2000 Three- course evening meal at La Repubblica Restaurant (drinks not included)

2100 Return to the hotel. Pack for departure

Thursday 24 March

0800 Continental breakfast will be served at the hotel (last meal included in the tour cost). Vacate rooms and store luggage at the hotel until the coach arrives for loading

The group will make their way to visit Piazzale Michelangelo as organised by the group leader and this will be followed by a visit to San Miniato al Monte church

Return to the hotel in time to collect the luggage for the coach arrival.

1145 Coach arrives for loading and then transfer to the airport

1310 Check in at Galileo Galilei International Airport for British Airways Flight Number BA605

1510 Flight departs

1630 Arrive at Heathrow International Airport, Terminal 5 (local time)

Meet coach transfer

2100 Anticipated arrival at Botanical Gardens (TBC)
